New York Fashion Week Part III

Note to Koi Suwannagate:
Your name is quite a mouthful, but I am sure you have heard that before. I attended your presentation in Chelsea during NY Fashion Week, and I have to say I liked the set up of it. Holding it in an art gallery was a great way to remind those going to see it that fashion is an artform (sometimes). Your beautifully draped dresses and creative uses of textiles were an exciting approach to Spring fashion. I especially loved the white pants with embroidery of Thai handwriting. I thought overall it was an elegant way of presenting an elegant (and sometimes elegantly deconstructed collection).

Note to Readers:
I thought that this presentation was very well executed. I will include a video I took of the models who would walk to a different point in the room every fifteen minutes or so. The space was mainly white with small white sculpture-like installations on the ground, that served as a nice blank canvas for the clothing. I liked a lot of the looks. There was a great use of color and construction, although I am not sure if together they looked like a cohesive line.

Take a look at the rest of the collection here.

Models on the move to their next post in the installation

Stay tuned... I still have the AMAZING Phillip Lim show to blog about.
