She Did it Again

Note to Victoria Beckham:
Your airport style is impeccable. When we see most celebrities showing up for their red-eye flights in leggings and oversized cardigans, you are like a breath of fresh air. I can't imagine those tailored pants are comfortable for a long flight, but you don't look like you mind. I am dying to know, do you change into a Juicy track suit as soon as you board the plane? I doubt it.

Note to Readers:
Are you loving Victoria's pants as much as I am? I love the crisp white high waist with the button detailing. If I had these pants I would want to wear them all the time, maybe that is why she is wearing them on a plane. She can't bear to take them off because all of her other pants pale in comparison? She is breaking one of my cardinal rules though-- sunglasses indoors. Some people never learn.

Another Balmain Fan

Note to Readers:
Does this jacket look familiar?  It should.  Remember when I wrote this post, gushing about Balmain's Fall 2009 Ready-to-Wear Collection.  Well, it looks like I'm not the only one who loved the fitted jackets with exaggerated shoulders.  By the way, bold shoulders are a white-hot look right now.  Magazine pages are filled with them.  I am curious to see how this high fashion look will trickle down into the mainstream markets.  Hmmm... only time will tell.

Note to Victoria Beckham:
Some girls get all the luck.  We all know I have a crush on your husband.  (Who doesn't?) Then you have those adorable kids. Next you chop off all of your hair, and your look better than Mia Farrow in your Mia-esque pixie cut. Now, you are parading around in the jacket I am dying for? Like I said before, some girls get all the luck.

One minor complaint-- you are inside in this photo, so please save the glasses until you are outdoors.  Thanks.

Coordinating Couple

Note to David and Victoria Beckham:
In honor of Valentine's day, I am posting about you two, one of my favorite fashionable couples. Some people love your style and some people loathe your style.  I am generally on the team that loves your style. It has not gone unnoticed that you two have a polished look, and your ensembles are always thought through.  The two of you never look like you just threw something on and ran out the door.  I appreciate you giving fashion that respect.

Note to Readers:
First of all, Happy Valentine's day!  Also, sorry for the lack of posting this week.  I have been busy with work. This blog does not pay my bills, so until it does, there may be some days where I can't get to posting.  The lack of posting in no way reflects my feelings for you all.  J'adore all of you.

Now onto the topic du jour; dressing as a couple. Whether you are in a relationship now, or hope to be sometime in the near future, I hope that at some point this information can be helpful to you.  You do not need to coordinate your clothing everyday, that would be overkill times ten!  When you have an event, or know you are going to be photographed you should try to wear clothing that complements each other.  NOT MATCHING.  Seriously, matching outfits on couples make me nauseous.  Just make sure your colors and/or prints do not clash.

Now we all know I appreciate the Beckham's style as a couple, but which couple's style do you admire?

First-Class Fashion

Note to Victoria Beckham:
This is what you wore to the airport to take a long flight to London. Even on your way to the airport you look impossibly chic. I love the classic colors and cut of this dress. You chose a chanel bag, and a pair of oversize sunglasses to complete your look, and each decision was perfect. You kept things simple and classic, just like your outfit. Also, I love the Mia Farrow-esque hair cut. In a world of long blonde hair extensions, you are an innovator. You have come a long way from your Spice Girl costumes.

Note to Readers:

Originally my favorite thing about Victoria Beckham was her husband. Now things have changed. Whether I like her outfit choices or not, she always is meticulous about her clothing selections. Everything is well thought through, and she never looks like she just threw something on. I appreciate someone who pays that much attention to their wardrobe choices. While the rest of us may not have stylists and closets full of designer clothing, we can see the fun in getting dressed and think a little bit more about what we choose to wear. That means no more wearing sweats out in public, unless it's to the gym.
