Maybe I am bragging...

Note to Readers:
Do you remember when I blogged about this photo shoot? Well it turns out one of the photos is now gracing the cover of a German magazine. I am so excited I can hardly contain myself, the first photo that I styled to end up on a cover. What makes it even better is that I will always remember my first cover was with one of my favorite models, one of my favorite makeup artists, and (you guessed it) one of my favorite photographers.

Now... is anyone going to be in Germany this month? I would love a few copies!

UPDATE: For Nicole, the open cardigan was from Urban Outfitters, so definitely affordable. They don't have that exact one anymore, but I found this one, which is the same idea. Happy hunting!

Shout Out

Note to Readers:
Last week on a local morning show (kind of like a local version of The View), the editor of a magazine I write for, Wasatch Woman, talked about an article I wrote. Actually the host brought up the article, and then they showed photos from the accompanying shoot I styled. It was kind of cool to see them talking about my work!

Here is the video... enjoy! (my article is the first one they talk about, Holiday Must-Haves)

Side Note: Look closely when they show the Violet Hunter Boots, recognize the legs wearing them?

Elite Models/Pulse Mgmt Photo Shoot

(photo from my iphone)
Note to Readers:
Last weekend I was busy working on the styling of some test shoots for Elite Model Management New York and their partner Pulse Management. I don't have any of the final images yet, but the shoot is already garnering some significant buzz in the modeling industry. Check out what Wayne Sterling at Models.com wrote about some of the models at the shoot here. The Elite website also had a post on their official blog about the shoot here (scroll down a few posts).

Also, here is a video taken at the shoot from the Pulse Management website. It is just a video someone took with their camera, but I think it is always fun to see what goes on behind the scenes at a photo shoot. When I get the actual images from the shoot I will post them for you.

The photographer Scott Lowe was a delight to work with. Check out some of his work here. I like his style of photography, very honest and natural. Not a ton of makeup and hairstyling to hide behind.

It was a busy weekend, but I loved it!

Photo Shoot

Note to Readers:
A few weeks ago I styled a photo shoot with one of my favorite photographers, Della Bass. She just sent me over some of the images, so I thought I would share a couple of them with you.

Note to Della, Bethany and David:
Nicely done. You three are always a delight to work with.

Cursive Music Video

Note to Readers:
A few months ago, I had the privilege to style a music video for the amazing band Cursive. This was a really fun project for me because they wanted all of the clothing to look like it was from a 1970s horror film. There was also a twist, they wanted to have the clothing be as authentic as possible and they needed about six wedding dresses. Never one to back down from a challenge, I worked on the project, and loved every second of it.

Note to Cursive:
You guys were really fun to work with, and were great sports as I pinned all of your clothing to fit. You even helped iron some of the wardrobe, which is above and beyond what is expected of rock stars. I love the song, and I love how the video turned out.

Note to Danny Drysdale (director) and Jeff Lasson (producer):
Thanks for giving me this awesome opportunity. If I am going to be hiking through Laurel Canyon while adjusting clothing on the talent, and making sure none of the wardrobe gets lost, I always want it to be with you two. Also, thanks for letting me make my music video debut (watch for me in the video).
