The Bachelorette

Note to Jillian:
You are darling. I loved your style last season on The Bachelor (except for the Uggs), and now on The Bachelorette your style has taken center stage. The white dress you wore on the premiere looked amazing on you. Last night your swimsuit with the yellow coverup and fedora, I want the whole ensemble! I am looking forward to a fashionable season.

PS. Get rid of the foot fetish guy, he is beyond creepy.

Note to Readers:
Calling all petite body types! While you watch The Bachelorette notice how Jillian's clothing is in perfect proportion to her petite frame. She wears all different lengths, but she never wears anything that overwhelms her tiny body. She knows what styles work for her figure, and sticks to them. For example strapless dresses are a nice fit on her small bust, so she favors this style. Also short shorts work better on her than knee-length ones. Knee-length shorts would hit her legs at the wrong spot and make her legs look shorter, as opposed to short shorts that elongate her legs. So my petite friends, when looking for a good example of what to wear look to my girl Jill.

Mom

Note to Readers:
How darling is my mom? She wore this ensemble when we went shopping the other day, and I had to take a pic of her. I love the detail work on her jacket, and we all know that I am a fan of the classic Chanel black shades (outdoors and in daylight of course). Make sure you call your mom and all the other wonderful women in your life today, if you haven't already.

Note to Mothers:
Thank you for all the hard work and sacrifices you do to make this world a better place. Happy Mother's Day!

Note to My Mother:
When I was little you used to say you were "The meanest mother in the whole world", I may have believed you then (especially when you made me clean my room) but I definitely don't now. I am lucky to have you as my mom.

Are We Getting Punk'd?

Note to Kiefer Sutherland:

Apparently while you were in New York this week, you got into a little bit of a scuffle and "allegedly" head-butted Proenza Schouler designer and co-founder Jack McCollough. Why oh why would you want to harm the man that has brought us such pretty designs? Are you jealous of his CFDA accolades? Do you not like bustiers?

All I know, is if you HAVE to head-butt a designer... and I don't know when this situation would come up... but if you HAVE to head-butt a designer make it a non-talented one. I won't name any names, but we all know of some designers that should not be allowed near a sewing machine.

(Supposedly the scuffle was over Brooke Shields? This story is getting weirder and weirder)

Note to Ashton:
Ok, time to come out now. You got us.

Note to Readers:
I would love to know which designers you wouldn't mind if Kiefer took them out, 24-style. Please do share.

Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art

Note to Readers:
The Met Costume Institute Gala is THE night for fashion. I anxiously await it each year, and I love seeing what everyone decides to wear. I know I feel that way about a lot of awards shows, but this event is strictly about fashion. Let me put it this way, if I could score an invitation to any event EVER, it would be this one. The guest list is star-studded, with real celebrities (that means they keep riff-raff like Speidi out). Think Gisele and Tom, Kate Moss, Marc Jacobs, etc.

Throughout the week, I am going to post about whom I loved and whom I loathed-- and a few people in between.

As always, thanks for reading. J'adore you all.

Note to Rhianna:
I know you have had a really rough time lately, so I am not going to comment on your choice of a Dolce and Gabbana puffed-sleeve tuxedo.

I'll just say when Zac Posen has dressed you, I liked the results much better.

I LOVE your Chanel mini-dress. I think accessorizing it with black was a chic choice, and kept the look more formal than if you accessorized with a bright color. Some may have a problem that you wore a short dress, but with all of the other craziness on the red carpet, I think they need to pick their battles more carefully. I think you look pretty, fresh faced, and let's be honest you have amazing legs, why not let them have a little time in the spotlight?

Note to the Newlyweds:
Speaking of legs...

Gisele (wearing a Versace dress), it really isn't fair for you to have amazing legs, enviable hair, such a killer bod, and your husband's not too bad either. You two could probably wear jeans and t-shirts and still be among the best-dressed people at the event.

You must go here immediately and scroll down to the post on Thursday April 30, 2009. Have you seen a cuter hipster in your life?

Note to The Sartorialist:
I hope you don't mind the link. You are a constant source of inspiration for me, and when I saw this photo I had to share it with my readers. Thanks for all you do.
